- The Australian Dog of the Year Awards is hosted by Puppy Tales The awards are open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older. A maximum of one entry per dog is permitted (multiple entries will not be accepted).
- Nominations will be open to entries from Friday 26th Janaury 2024 until 8 pm Sunday 12th January 2025. Finalists will be announced on Tuesday 14th January 2025. Voting for the people’s choice of the finalists will also commence on Tuesday 14th January and will close at 12 pm Thursday 24th January 2025. Winners will be announced on Saturday 26th January 2025.
- This Major Prize will be awarded as a game of skill, chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each valid entry will be individually judged by the judging panel based on its creative merit, execution and alignment with the spirit of the competition. People’s Choice will be based on the dog that receives the most valid votes within the voting period. Only one vote per IP address will be accepted during the voting period. All prize winners will be announced on Puppy Tales and notified by Saturday 26th January 2025. You own the copyright for the photo & words submitted with a nomination. This copyright will be retained however you agree that any photos, words and other materials provided can be shared online (on the Puppy Tales website and social media) and in other media in conjunction with these awards.
- Nominee & voter prize draw winners will be selected from eligible entries, based on the answers provided to highlight the variety of ways in which dogs serve and including any bonus entries achieved. These prize winners will be notified by SMS and Email. Puppy Tales takes no responsibility if the prize winner’s contact details are incorrect/incomplete and a winner cannot be contacted.
- The Winner of Australian Dog of the Year will receive a prize pack that includes a personalised trophy of the winning dog (value $300), a $1000 donation, a Photography session & product collection with Puppy Tales (minimum value $4000), a media campaign with the Pet Jorno and a $250 Pet Circle Gift Card.
- The Australian Dog of the Year People’s Choice will receive a prize pack that includes a $250 donation, a Photography session & canvas with Puppy Tales (value $1250), a media campaign with the Pet Jorno and a $100 Pet Circle Gift Card.
- Puppy Tales will liaise with the winner and people’s choice to determine the registered charity or not-for-profit recipient. The photography session is subject to photographer availability and valid until July 2025. Standard terms and conditions of these businesses will apply in redeeming the prizes.
- Nominee Prize Draw. Ten entrants will be randomly selected and offered a $450 gift card for photography services with Puppy Tales Photography. The gift cards can be used for or towards any of the photography experiences offered by Puppy Tales, subject to availability and includes your session design consultation, preparation guidance, session, in-person viewing & credit towards your photo wallart.
- Voter Prize Draw. Ten of those who vote in the People’s Choice will be randomly selected and offered a $450 gift card for photography services with Puppy Tales Photography. - The Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash and may not be transferred. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion from the business involved. If any product or service becomes unavailable, Puppy Tales can’t be held responsible or liable, however the Business may offer a replacement prize of equivalent value at their discretion.
