Every $98 participation fee from this campaign is donated in full to a rescue connected to your dog’s breed.
Winter is when rescue groups are stretched the most.
Do you know that right now, there are more than 230 different breeds of doggos currently digging holes, chasing balls, chewing shoes, and stealing socks, in homes throughout Australia?
Seriously! How fur-tastic is that?
Some you’ll meet at every dog park. Others are so rare there’s barely a pawful of them in the whole country.
Now, imagine having every single type of dog from crazy crossbreeds and mischievous mutts, from minuscule Chihuahuas to 100kg English mastiffs, in a photographic catalogue.
Or should I say, a Project Dogalogue™?
MAKE YOUR DOG A STAR
Is your doggo star material?
Do they have quirky traits, a smoochy face, a peculiar personality or are they just the best darn doggo in the universe? (isn’t every dog the best dog in the universe?)
Yes? Then your pupper is perfect to star in my Project Dogalogue of Australian dogs.
My quest is to photograph as many furry friends as possible. The mixed breeds, the purebreds, the old dogs with no tricks, the young pups with no manners, the crazy dogs, the quirky dogs, the clever canines, the gigantic dogs, and the minuscule dogs.
SHOW ME THE DOGGOS
Bring me doggos with overbites and underbites, bald dogs, dreadlocked dogs, working dogs, pampered pooches, three-legged dogs, one-eyed dogs, the couch-devoted and the farm-hardened, and the rare breeds so seldom seen in Australia that I’m yet to photograph one.
I want to photograph them all!
WHY DO I WANT ALL THE DOGS?
Well, it’s all part of my pawsome quest to create a comprehensive photographic collection of as many different doggos and puppers as humanly possible.
However, because there are hundreds of adorable dogs to photograph, sessions are limited, so it pays to get in early!
A PROJECT OF DOGGY DIVERSITY & PAW-SOMENESS
Imagine the excitement on you and your doggo’s face when they feature in the A to Z Dogalogue of Australian dogs.
Here’s your chance to make your furry best friend part of Australian dog history!
DON’T WANT TO MISS YOUR CHANCE TO BE PART OF THE PACK?
Excellent!
So, sit down. Staaaaaay. Have a treat and read on!
Here’s how it works.
1. Register your dog. Tell me who they are, and take your time on their story. I need to hear all about your crazy canine, dopey dog, or playful puppy, so it’s the part I read closest, and the part everything else flows from.
2. Selections are made. I won’t be able to photograph every dog who registers. Some dogs are chosen through the monthly Artist’s Call. Others are invited as the project’s chapters unfold: a breed the collection is missing, a story that grabs me, a city with enough registered dogs to take the project on the road.
3. Invited dogs book their session. *wags tail excitedly* Your $98 participation fee secures your dog’s place in the project. This includes:
Total value is over $500.
And during July & August 2026, every dollar of that fee is donated to a rescue connected to your dog’s breed.
THE ARTIST’S CALL
Each month, I’ll put out The Artist’s Call: the dogs I most want to photograph next for the Dogalogue. Some months it’s breeds, from Australia’s most loved to its rarest. Some months it’s something else entirely: the seniors, the puppies, the gloriously drooly.
Dogs chosen from each month’s call have their $98 participation fee returned in full as credit towards their photography product order, on top of the $250 credit every participating dog already receives. All up, that’s $348 towards the artwork from your dog’s session, before we’ve even begun.
And if your dog isn’t among a call’s chosen few, nothing changes: they’re still in my selection mix, with everything above.
PROJECT DOGALOGUE AIMS
All doggos are awesome and this project focuses on celebrating real dogs with all their crazy quirks, funny habits and the way they enrich our lives.
Project Dogalogue embraces all canines! We will include cross breeds and hybrids as well as purebreds. No doggo is left behind!
Every dog photographed for Project Dogalogue takes their place in the digital archive, the collection’s permanent home. But the project won’t stop there. I hope it grows into print, exhibitions, and things I haven’t dreamed up yet. The dogs chosen to carry it further will be the ones whose stories and photographs together say the most.
An honest note before you register…
Project Dogalogue isn’t a search for dog models. It’s for pet parents & dog lovers who truly want the full photography experience, with beautiful photography of their dog for their home (my speciality). All breeds and mixes belong here, and every dog photographed takes their place in an enduring collection recording the dogs of Australia. Selection is my call, guided by story, variety, and the dogs each month’s Artist’s Call is seeking. So take your time with your dog’s story. It matters.
Every registration is read paw-sonally by me. Some dogs I’ll leap on within days. Others are chosen as each month’s Artist’s Call and the project’s chapters unfold, so whenever your dog’s moment comes, you’ll hear from me.
A reminder: For July & August, your $98 participation fee is donated to rescue.
Hey there! I’m Kerry, the canine-loving creative behind Puppy Tales. I love all things dog, photography and travel.
That’s me with Keiko and Summer, my two much-adored (and much-spoilt!) dogs. Both were photographed for Project Dogalogue, exactly as themselves, which is the only way any dog is photographed here. They’re no longer with us, but as ‘Founding Directors’ of Puppy Tales (all decisions were, of course, treat-based), their pawprints are woven through this project and everything Puppy Tales does. These days Scout, my young Border Collie, and Mr Magoo, the cat who supervises everything, keep me company and on my toes. Scout’s Dogalogue portrait is coming.
Professionally, I’ve been photographing pets and people for over 16 years. I’m a Master of Photography and have won numerous awards, including Australian Pet/Animal Photographer of the Year. Those awards came from photos taken for pawrents just like you. Every dog brings something all their own, and every session is treated like an award-winning one. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend!
We loved our experience!! Having a young puppy I was a bit nervous... but Kerry captured the most amazing photos! We really couldn't be happier!!
1. About the project. Project Dogalogue™ is a photographic collection documenting the dogs of Australia: more than 230 officially recognised breeds, the breeds present in Australia beyond the official registries, and mixed breeds of every description. The scope of the collection may grow as breed recognitions and the project itself evolve.
2. Dogs are selected at the discretion of Puppy Tales Photography. Submitting a registration does not guarantee acceptance into the project. We’re looking for a diverse range of dogs, ages, colours and talents amongst the breeds and mixes.
3. If your dog is selected to participate, you agree to sign a model release granting Puppy Tales Photography permission to use your dog’s photographs, and the story and details you share, within Project Dogalogue: including the digital archive, project promotion, printing, publishing, display, and use on the Puppy Tales website and social media accounts.
4. The $98 participation fee is due at the time of booking your Photography Session Experience for Project Dogalogue™. The $250 participation credit, and any additional credit for dogs chosen through The Artist’s Call, is redeemable against your photography product order from your dog’s session and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
5. Winter campaign: for bookings between 1 July and 31 August 2026, the $98 participation fee is donated in full to a rescue organisation connected to the participating dog’s breed or story. The recipient rescue will be confirmed with the pet parent before their session.
