Dog Photo Challenge ~ Travel

Do you love to travel with your dog? To head out camping in a remote location and soak in the atmosphere together? Or perhaps you love to visit a gorgeous dog friendly hotel and order room service together?

For me, dogs + travel + photos is the PERFECT combination! So naturally it had to come about as a photo challenge theme!

We love to head somewhere new and to visit somewhere we’ve been and loved. For us, it’s not so much the where but the doing it all together and that certainly includes our dogs. I’ve written before on why our dogs accompanying us on holidays are awesome what started as the 5 best reasons, soon turned into 5 more pretty much as soon as the first was posted and I realised those I’d forgotten.

This Week’s Photo Challenge Theme: TRAVEL

In this week’s photo challenge we want to see your favourite dog inclusive travel photos! The favourite place you’ve holidayed with your dog, your dog experiencing for the first time in a new destination, your dog in holiday adventure or relaxation mode (whichever is their style!) and the fun that you get up together.

We’d love to hear the where or story behind the photos you share this week. We’re sure that it will welcome in the Puppy Tales community to know the awesome destinations that are possible for travelling to with your dog. Who knows, you may just inspire someone’s Christmas holiday destination!

And, as always, you’re welcome to apply the theme creatively.

We can’t wait to check out all your travel photos this week!

Some ‘TRAVEL’ Photo Inspiration

In these ‘Travel’ inspired photos we have:

Top: Border Collie Rosie, as a puppy, jumping snow covered logs at Dinner Plain. This is one of our absolute favourite spots for travelling with the dogs.

Middle: Rosie as ‘Captain’ of a Paddle Steamer in Echuca (Read all about Echuca as a dog friendly destination); our Japanese Spitz Keiko at one of our dog friendly camping destination in the Tarra Valley.

Our Summer, as a teeny pup, on her first travel experience we visited the Great Ocean Road and found the most incredible dog friendly beach while we were there.

Keiko and Summer at the snow earlier this year; Summer at the beach again (what can we say she loves to race about in the sand and chase the waves!) this beach was at Jervis Bay and it’s one of the most beautiful beaches and areas around Australia in our opinion!

Bottom: Keiko posing along one of the dog friendly hiking trails that can be found along the Great Ocean Road.

Sharing your ‘Dog Travel’ Photos

Meeting and hearing all about your dogs and the love you have for them makes our day! There’s lots of ways to share your photos for this weeks challenge:

  • On Facebook – Post your photo under the theme post when it appears on Facebook.
  • On Instagram – Tag your photos that fit the theme with #pt_travel so we can find them!
  • In the Comments – Share your photo in the comments below. If you have photos on other photo sharing sites (like 500px or Flickr) then feel free to leave a link to your photo in the comments.

However you share, don’t forget to include your dog’s name/s. If there is a great story, or puppy tale, that goes with your photo then we’d also love to hear it! Especially if you’re sending us something creative and we may not immediately ‘get’ how your photo fits the theme!
