Dog Photo Challenge ~ Snow Dogs
We’ve been admiring snow photos from the Northern Hemisphere for the last couple of months!
If you know anything about me, it’s that I love the fun and adventure of dogs in a winter wonderland.
So inspired by the fabulous photos that we’ve seen – this week’s photo challenge theme is ‘Snow Dogs’.
This Week’s Theme: Snow Dogs
Racing, chasing, catching, frolicking and more! Dogs love to play in the snow! And photos of them doing this, are wonderful.
We know that here in Australia it’s kinda the wrong time of the year for a snow themed photo challenge, but it’s perfectly timed for our US and European friends and we’ve been enjoying your gorgeous photos of dogs in the snow for a while now.
‘For our Aussie buddies – you’re welcome to share a photo that has been take in a previous winter. Or, as with any challenge, apply the theme creatively! Create a snowy scene with a doona perhaps! There’s a fair chance too that we’ll run this challenge again in our own winter 🙂
Our ‘Snow Dogs’ Inspiration
We love the snow dog retreats we run every year and these gorgeous dogs we’ve had the wonderful thrill of photographing.
Top ~ Old English Sheepdogs Mabel and Douglas loved chasing snowballs, falling snow and one another.
Middle ~ Husky Lexus was perfectly at home along the snow covered trails. Pembroke corgi Jean Luc checks out a snowman.
Siberian Husky Esky loved to roll about in the fresh white snow.
Alfie the Bernese Mountain racing through the snow as fast he can – don’t you just love that crazy joyous expression? Finnish Laphund Tavvi made his own snow track by racing back and forth.
Bottom ~ Border Collie Tux posing perfectly in the beautiful snowy landscape.
Sharing your Photos
Meeting and hearing all about your dogs and the love you have for them makes our day! There’s lots of ways to share your photos for this weeks challenge:
- On Facebook – Post your photo under the theme post when it appears on Facebook.
- On Instagram – Tag your photos that fit the theme with #pt_snowdogs so we can find them!
- In the Comments – Share your photo in the comments below. If you have photos on other photo sharing sites (like 500px or Flickr) then feel free to leave a link to your photo in the comments.
However you share, don’t forget to include your dogs name/s. If there is a great story, or puppy tale, that goes with your photo them we’d also love to hear it! Especially if you’re sending us something creative and we may not immediately ‘get’ how your photo fits the theme!
