Dog Photo Challenge ~ Black & White
I love black & white photography! I’ll admit that I don’t use it as often as colour when photographing pets, but on the right occasion or with the right photograph it’s simply stunning.
I love that black & white it simplifies the photograph, brings out the texture or curls in a dog’s coat and can really draw us into a dogs eyes or expression!
It also can be fabulous for minimising distractions of colours or bright lighting in the background or around your subject.
This week we want to see your best and favourite ‘Black and White’ dog photos!
This Week’s Theme: BLACK & WHITE!
If you’re interested to try converting your coloured photos to Black and White, you might wish to use a free photo editing site like PicMonkey or PhotoBucket Editor, or the photo software that your computer/ laptop or mobile device came installed with. Some of these programs have black and white preset options. You can also create Black & White photos by removing all the saturation (another word for the amount of colour) in a photo.
You’re welcome to apply the theme creatively (… anyone with black, white or black & white dogs!)
Don’t forget to also share the theme with your friends who would love to play along!

Sharing your ‘Black & White’ Photos
Meeting and hearing all about your dogs and the love you have for them makes our day!
There’s lots of ways to share your photos for this weeks challenge:
On Facebook – Post your photo under the theme post when it appears on Facebook.
On Instagram – Tag your photos that fit the theme with #pt_blackwhite so we can find them!
In the Comments – Share your photo in the comments below. If you have photos on other photo sharing sites (like 500px or Flickr) then feel free to leave a link to your photo in the comments.
However you share, don’t forget to include your dogs name/s. If there is a great story, or puppy tale, that goes with your photo them we’d also love to hear it! Especially if you’re sending us something creative and we may not immediately ‘get’ how your photo fits the theme!
