Aussie Dogs for Australia Day!

Last year, I embarked on a small personal photography project for Australia Day.  I had the idea to photograph dogs whose breed had ‘Australia’ in the title and theme them with some Australia Day items found everywhere this time of year – so Aussie Dogs for Australia Day was created!

What fun it was to ‘work’ with these adorable dogs in creating these photos.  That included photographing an adorable Australian Silky Terrier for the first time.

Let me introduce you to the gorgeous Aussie Dogs!

The first Aussie dogs are gorgeous and iconic Australian Kelpies – Jeffrey, Denzel and Finn.

Australian Bulldog time!  Sweet six month old Pippa had the best face and expressions for these props!

Time for this gorgeous cheeky little man, it’s Australian Terrier Jedi!  He was every bit the star when being photographed!

Australian Shepherd Barkley was the perfect Aussie dog, especially with his awesome tricks!

Finally, its Hinto, the sweetest Australian Shepherd.  And boy, was he a clever boy!  Hinto is also the dog in the photo at the very top of the post!

Kerry Martin

Kerry is 'Top Dog' here at Puppy Tales. With her own adored dogs, she completely gets that your four legged furry buddy is absolutely part of the family. That they sleep on the bed, that you want to take them everywhere, that you plan holidays so they’re included & that their presence makes your life incredible.
