It’s the first Friday of 2012 so it is the perfect time for a quick wrap of the doggie week. Here at Puppy Tales Eddie and Cress have been staying out of the summer heat and making sure that they keep family from overseas busy with ball throwing duties.

Beautiful Oska 1. Oska the Golden Retriever is looking for a special home

There are many beautiful dogs out there patiently waiting for their forever homes but Oska has some extra complications that make his search a little harder. Oska has been diagnosed with hip problems and will need surgery in the near future. He is also an anxious boy and so is looking for an owner who is often home and is very patient. RSPCA Holiday Program 2. RSPCA School Holiday Program

RSPCA NSW are currently taking bookings for their school holiday programs at the Yagoona Shelter. So if you are between 13 and 17 years old and want to experience first hand what the RSPCA does then shoot them an email to book into one of their sessions this month.

5. A wish for Leary

Many of us understand the pain of losing a pet and over on ‘Bubby and Bean’ Melissa is currently coping with the recent loss of her amazing companion Leary who she shared her life with for nearly 16 years. To honour his memory Melissa wants to help support older dogs who aren’t as lucky to have loving homes like Leary did. To do this she has made a birthday wish asking her friends and family to support the Grey Muzzle Organisation and the Young at Heart Pet Rescue. This is a lovely idea and one we will definitely be supporting. (Thanks Pretty Fluffy for sharing on Twitter).
